Chile trip and beyond

I returned Sunday from an 8-day excursion to Santiago, Chile to study the wine industry with the University of Tennessee MBA program. Don't get me wrong, the trip was a blast, but running wise I took a step backward. I got in 46 miles during the trip, but very few of the miles were beneficial. The weather was dry, hot and the city was very smoggy. I felt like I had smoked a pack of cigarettes after every run and I'm glad to be back in normal conditions again. Since my return, I did 6 miles on Sunday to shake off the jet lag, 26 miles yesterday in 2:48 and another 10 miles today, and I feel really good. Six more weeks until Boston, so it is really go time now.
